Custom Programming & Trading Solutions
You describe it. We build it.
Strategy development, API and FIX integration, order-routing logic, and the connective work between systems that were never designed to talk to each other. Built by our team, who work in these markets every day, not filed as a ticket with somebody who does not.
What we build
The work between an idea and a working order
Most of what follows exists because a client needed it and no vendor would build it for one manager.
Strategy development
A ruleset, a spreadsheet or a set of conditions you have been trading by hand, turned into executable code that behaves the same way twice.
Order routing logic
Entry and exit handling, position sizing, throttles, kill switches and the awkward edge cases that only show up in a fast market.
Platform bridges
Signals generated in one system, executed in another. We build the adapter rather than asking you to abandon a workflow that works.
FIX and API integration
Direct connectivity for front ends, risk systems and internal tooling, including sessions to the clearing side where that is what a setup needs.
Data pipelines
Historical and live data assembled into the shape a strategy or a report needs, including the unglamorous cleaning nobody budgets for.
Testing before capital
Historical testing and controlled live validation, so the first real order is not also the first time anyone has seen the code run.
How a project runs
Scoped, built, tested, maintained
-
Scope it
A conversation about what the thing has to do, what it connects to, and what happens when it fails. Most projects change shape at this stage, which is the point of having it.
-
Build it
Written in-house against your specification, with the parts that touch live orders treated more carefully than the parts that do not.
-
Test it
Against historical data first, then in a controlled live environment. You see the behavior before it sees your capital.
-
Run and maintain
Deployed into the hosted environment if that is where it belongs, and maintained as platforms, APIs and exchange specifications change underneath it.
Testing against historical data has inherent limitations and does not predict how a strategy will perform in live markets. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.
Questions
What people ask before they commission work
Who owns the code?
You do. It is your strategy and your intellectual property. We do not trade it for our own account and we do not resell it. The specifics get set out in writing before work starts.
Do I have to explain my whole strategy?
Only as much as the build requires. Plenty of work gets done against a specification that describes behavior without exposing the reasoning behind it.
What does a project cost?
It depends entirely on scope, and we would rather scope it properly than quote a number that turns out to be wrong. Small integrations and large builds are different conversations. Terms are agreed before anything is written.
How long does it take?
A platform bridge or a routing tweak is short work. A strategy built from scratch, tested and deployed is not. You get a realistic estimate at the scoping stage rather than an optimistic one.
Can you work with code I already have?
Yes, and that is common. Extending, porting or fixing an existing program is usually faster than starting again, and we will tell you honestly when it is not.
Talk to someone who knows.
A quick phone call will tell you more than an hour on any website. Tell us what you are trying to do and we will tell you whether we are the right fit for it.
