Custom Reporting
The report they asked for. Not the one your system produces.
Position, P&L and allocation reporting shaped to what your administrators, auditors and allocators actually request. Built once, delivered on schedule, and maintained as your business changes.
What we produce
Reporting that survives due diligence
Allocators judge operations as well as returns. A manager who cannot produce a clean position report on request has already answered a question about their infrastructure.
Daily position and P&L
Across every account and program, reconciled against the clearing FCM rather than assembled from whatever the platform happened to export.
Allocation breakdowns
Block fills broken out by account, with the average pricing and the allocation logic visible rather than implied.
Multi-program views
One manager running several programs, or one program across several clearing firms, presented as a single picture.
Investor-ready statements
Formatted for the people who receive them, so an allocator or an auditor does not have to rebuild your numbers before they can read them.
Reconciliation
Differences between what you think happened and what cleared get surfaced by the report, not discovered a month later.
Delivery on your terms
Scheduled email, CSV, or an API feed into your own systems. Daily, monthly, or whenever your operations calendar says.
How it gets built
Backwards from the report you want
-
Show us the format
Send the report you wish you had, or the one an allocator keeps asking for. Working backwards from the destination is faster than describing it in the abstract.
-
We map the data
Fills, positions, fees and allocations sourced from the clearing side and mapped into your structure, including the fields nobody documents.
-
It runs on schedule
Generated and delivered automatically. Nobody on your team spends the first hour of the month exporting spreadsheets.
-
We keep it working
Add a program, change clearing firms, take on a new administrator — the report gets updated rather than quietly breaking.
Reporting produced by BTR is provided for information and operational convenience. Your account statements from the clearing Futures Commission Merchant remain the official record of your account.
Questions
What managers ask about reporting
Do I need to be using your execution to get reporting?
It is far easier when the data comes from business we execute or clear, because we can source it directly. Reporting across outside relationships is possible depending on what those firms will provide — worth a conversation rather than an assumption.
Can it feed my administrator or accounting system?
Yes. Most of this work ends in a file or an API feed going somewhere else. Tell us the destination and the required format and that becomes part of the specification.
What does reporting cost?
Standard reporting is part of working with us. Bespoke builds are scoped individually, and the terms are set out in your account documents before anything starts.
How quickly can a new report be running?
A variation on something we already produce is quick. A structure nobody has asked for before takes longer, mostly in agreeing exactly what each column means. You get a realistic estimate at the scoping stage.
Is this the same as my FCM statement?
No. The FCM statement is the official record of your account and remains the authoritative document. Our reporting sits alongside it, organizing the same underlying activity into the view your business needs.
Talk to someone who knows.
A quick phone call will tell you more than an hour on any website. Tell us what you are trying to do and we will tell you whether we are the right fit for it.
