Start with a clearing firm

Different firms suit different things — the products you trade, the platforms you want, how margin is treated. If you already know which one you want, start below. If you do not, call first; picking the wrong one is a nuisance to undo.

What to have ready

Every futures application asks broadly the same things: government-issued photo identification, a Social Security or tax identification number, employment details, and questions about income, net worth and how much trading you have done. The firms word it differently, but nobody skips it.

One application is coming

We are building a single form that fills every firm’s paperwork from one set of answers, so nobody has to type the same details out five times. Until it is finished, you apply directly with the firm you pick.

All customer accounts are carried by, and all funds are held at, the clearing Futures Commission Merchant. BTR Trading Group does not accept or hold customer funds.
